Two Weeks In
Two weeks of doing this, and I wanted to pause and say thank you before moving on to whatever comes next.
I started this blog because I didn't want my story, or anyone else's, to get flattened into a single lesson or a single side. Looking back at what I've written so far — about names, about the people who raised me and the people who couldn't, about waiting and searching and the ordinary days that end up mattering the most — I think it's held together the way I hoped it would. Nobody in these posts is the villain. Nobody is required to be grateful. That was the whole point.
A few people have written in already, and I want to keep making room for that. If something here resonated, or if it didn't quite match your experience and you want to tell me why, I'd genuinely like to hear it. This isn't meant to be a monologue. I think the parts of this that will end up mattering most are the ones I haven't written yet, because they'll come out of conversations I haven't had yet.
Here's what I know for sure two weeks in: there's more story here than fourteen posts can hold, and I'm not in a hurry to get through it. Some days I'll write about my own family. Some days I'll write about something a reader told me. Some days it might just be a short thought that doesn't resolve into anything.
Thanks for reading this far. I'll keep showing up if you will.
